6.28.19 news!

6.28.19 – friday

Y’all survived your first week of the new residency year!

We are proud of all of you!

Kim Vu will not be joining the Kaiser Fam as an R2 this July 1st. If your schedule was affected significantly, you have already been contacted.

Clinic Schedules are in the process of being finalized. In the meantime, ignore the clinic schedule on amion; instead, we will continue to send out weekly emails regarding your upcoming clinics.

Senior Medical Residents: as part of your workflow, ensure that you are discussing new patient admissions with the ANM and RHC.

Morning Report / Intern Morning Report: Thank you for bearing with us as we rolled out the new Morning Report / Intern Morning Report format this week. Given that many residents and interns are in clinic on Fridays (thanks Kobash for pointing this out!), we will be moving Intern Morning Report from fridays to MONDAYS – Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays will return to all-resident Morning Report. This change will take effect July 8th. For next week, all morning reports will be all-resident reports.

Work Phones: The majority of the remaining interns will receive their cellphones 7/3 during Afternoon Intern Report.

In-Service Exams are just around the corner. We have emailed you the schedules for these exams this week – please review your date and notify us of any questions/concerns.

Emails: Particularly for interns, please check your KP email regularly (preferably daily). We understand that this may be difficult as many of you do not have your work phones yet, so please use work computers in the meantime.

Meal Cards: Helen has notified us that you all will hopefully get your meal cards next week.

Clinic Residents on Tuesday: All Residents and Interns scheduled for Clinic will have NO PATIENTS scheduled for the day BUT are expected to show up in the Resident Lounge on Tuesday for a CIPS training session.
