Listen up ye Mighty Residents for there are announcements a-plenty and your very lives schedules hang in the balance.
AM Report: The learning has been Fast and Furious but attendance has been Sluggish and Tepid. Reminder: all Senior Residents on Wards and Procedures and All Interns and Senior Residents on Clinic and Electives are expected to attend Wednesday – Friday. Intern-only AM Report is now EVERY MONDAY morning and ALL INTERNS are expected to attend with Wards Seniors holding their pagers. So shall it be!
Electives: It’s time to fill in those unspecified electives! Please email the chiefs your 1st and 2nd choices for your elective blocks ASAP.
Check the Webs: this blog, our Twitter feed (@kaiserSFchiefs), and our Gram feed are NOW your primary sources of announcements, pearls, and other cool stuff – por ejemplo check our Tweet this AM demonstrating the true frothiness of proteinuria!
Switch Days: Bootcamp is coming to an end, and we are entering the 2-week block schedule! Switch days are every other Wednesday, so please make sure you are contacting the appropriate elective preceptors or senior residents and reading those passports at least a week before your switch day.
Rounding with the Chiefs: The Chiefs will be shadowing rounds shortly! Seniors, look out for FYI emails over the coming days.
Changes to XCOVER: Wards XCOVER should now come into work at 12:30pm every day of the week. On weekdays, XCOVER should attend lunch conference and then check in the Chiefs afterward!
Meal Cards: Interns your cards are here so please pick them up from Helen on Monday! Seniors, your meal cards are not here per se, but …
Retreat: We need your ideas! Please email the Chiefs or comment in the section below. The retreats will occur in September.
Committee Meetings: Look out for an email regarding repping the Residency during weekly Hospital Committee meetings (the food is good we hear).
